Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rhinovita is an over-the-counter nasal care product formulated as an ointment or drops, originally developed by Biofarm and distributed in France by Laboratoires Grimberg. It is composed of Vitamin A, Vitamin E, eucalyptol, chlorobutanol, and a blend of essential oils (including lavender, lemon, geranium, Scots pine, thyme, and niaouli). Rhinovita is indicated to soothe, moisten, and protect irritated or dry nasal mucosa in cases of the common cold, infectious or allergic rhinitis, and local irritation caused by environmental factors, repeated nose-blowing, or the use of CPAP masks. The vitamins promote tissue healing and reinforce the mucosal barrier, while the essential oils provide decongestant, expectorant, and mild antimicrobial properties.
