Overview
Rhizoma arisaematis preparata (processed Rhizoma Arisaematis, or Zhi Tian Nan Xing) is a traditional Chinese medicine preparation derived from the processed rhizomes of Arisaema species, such as *Arisaema erubescens*, *Arisaema amurense*, or *Arisaema heterophyllum*. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is used to dry dampness, resolve phlegm, and disperse swelling. It is being evaluated in clinical trials (such as ChiCTR2000033543) by the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University as a transvaginal treatment (in granule form) for persistent high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) infection of the female genital tract. The treatment aims to promote the clearance of HPV and explore potential mechanisms related to the prevention of cervical cancer and squamous intraepithelial lesions.
