Overview

RhoC siRNA is a small interfering RNA designed to silence the expression of the Ras homolog family member C (RhoC) gene. RhoC is a member of the Rho GTPase family that regulates the actin cytoskeleton, cell motility, and signal transduction. Overexpression of RhoC is frequently associated with tumor progression, epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), and increased metastatic potential in various malignancies, including bladder cancer. By specifically degrading RhoC mRNA through the RNA interference (RNAi) pathway, RhoC siRNA inhibits the production of the RhoC protein, thereby reducing the invasive and migratory capabilities of cancer cells. In research settings, it is utilized to validate the functional role of RhoC in oncogenic processes and to explore its potential as a therapeutic target for inhibiting metastasis.
