Overview
**RhuDex + meglumine** is a combination drug, in which RhuDex is a novel, orally bioavailable, small-molecule modulator of T-lymphocyte co-stimulation, with activity directed towards immune regulation. RhuDex acts as a modulator by interfering with the co-stimulatory signals required for full T-cell activation, specifically targeting the CD80/CD86 pathway on antigen-presenting cells. Meglumine (N-Methyl-D-glucamine) is a pharmacologically *inactive excipient* commonly used to aid solubility and formulation of oral drugs. The combination is being evaluated in clinical trials for primary biliary cholangitis (PBC)[3][2]. RhuDex is developed for immune-mediated diseases and its mechanism of action is immunomodulation by inhibiting T-cell co-stimulation. Meglumine has no pharmacological activity in this context, serving as a formulation aid.
