Overview

BNT152 is a nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (mRNA) drug formulated in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs), encoding the endogenous cytokine interleukin-7 (IL-7). It is designed as an immunostimulant for cancer therapy, specifically targeting advanced solid tumors that are metastatic or unresectable. The mRNA instructs cells to produce IL-7, a cytokine known to stimulate immune cell proliferation and function, thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. Developed by BioNTech, BNT152 is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials as both monotherapy and in combination with other agents for patients with various solid malignancies who have no standard treatment options likely to confer benefit[1][2][3][5].
