Rifampin is an antibiotic in the rifamycin class, primarily used to treat or prevent tuberculosis and to reduce certain bacteria in the nose and throat that can cause meningitis. It works by inhibiting bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby suppressing RNA synthesis and bacterial replication. HSK3486 (also known as ciprofol) is a novel 2,6-disubstituted phenol derivative developed as an intravenous anesthetic agent for induction and maintenance of anesthesia or sedation.
