Overview

RiMO-401 is a small molecule drug that acts as an inhibitor of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1). By inhibiting IDO1 and decreasing kynurenine levels in tumor cells, RiMO-401 restores and promotes the proliferation and activation of various immune cells, including dendritic cells, natural killer (NK) cells, and T lymphocytes. This leads to a reduction in tumor-associated regulatory T cells (Tregs), thereby enhancing anti-tumor immune responses. RiMO-401 is being developed using radio-immuno metal-organic (RiMO) technology for intratumoral administration. Its primary indication is advanced malignant solid neoplasms, with active development in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma; it has also been considered for pancreatic cancer and liver cancer[1][2][8].
