Rincell-3 is a preclinical-stage cell therapy developed by Rinri Therapeutics for the treatment of sensorineural hearing loss. The therapeutic approach involves the use of human pluripotent stem cell-derived human otic epithelial progenitor cells (hPSC-hOEPs) to replace damaged or missing auditory hair cells within the cochlea. By regenerating these sensory cells, Rincell-3 aims to restore the transduction of sound into electrical signals, addressing a primary cause of hearing impairment. This program is distinct from the company's lead asset, Rincell-1, which targets the replacement of auditory neurons.
