Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ringelblumensalbe is a topical herbal preparation containing extracts from the flowers of the pot marigold (*Calendula officinalis*). Marketed by medphano Arzneimittel, it is a finished medicinal product used primarily for its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and wound-healing properties. The ointment is indicated for the treatment of minor skin inflammations, superficial wounds, and to support the regeneration of dry or cracked skin. The active constituents, including triterpenoids, flavonoids, and carotenoids, are believed to promote the formation of granulation tissue and accelerate the healing process while providing a protective barrier for the skin.
