Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Ringer-Lactat Fresenius Kabi** is a sterile balanced crystalloid electrolyte solution for intravenous infusion containing calcium chloride dihydrate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, and sodium lactate. It is used for short-term intravascular volume replacement, replacement of extracellular fluid losses including isotonic or hypotonic dehydration, correction of mild metabolic acidosis when lactate metabolism is intact, and as a compatible carrier solution. Lactate is metabolized to bicarbonate equivalents, providing an alkalinizing effect while the sodium, potassium, calcium, and chloride ions support extracellular fluid and electrolyte replacement.
