Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**RinGlusin** is a Russian biosimilar of insulin glulisine (Apidra), a rapid-acting recombinant human insulin analog developed and manufactured by GEROPHARM. It is produced using recombinant DNA technology for full-cycle manufacturing from substance to finished dosage form, matching the quality and purity of international standards. Indicated for glycemic control in type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, it mimics endogenous insulin by binding to insulin receptors on cell membranes, facilitating glucose uptake, glycogen synthesis, and inhibition of hepatic gluconeogenesis, with onset in approximately 15-30 minutes, peak effect in 1-3 hours, and duration up to 4-5 hours.[4][6][13][14]
