RioDerm002 (also known as RioDerm-002) is a biologic therapeutic candidate under development by Rion for the treatment of radiation-induced tissue injury and wounds. It is based on the company's proprietary Purified Exosome Product (PEP) technology, which utilizes platelet-derived exosomes. These extracellular vesicles are enriched with thrombin and other regenerative factors to promote wound healing and tissue repair. The drug is currently in Phase I clinical development, specifically targeting radiation injury.
