Overview
**Risontin** is an oral fixed-dose antitubercular combination containing **rifapentine 300 mg** and **isoniazid 300 mg** per film-coated tablet. It is marketed in Indonesia by Sampharindo Retroviral Indonesia for treatment of latent tuberculosis infection caused by *Mycobacterium tuberculosis*. Rifapentine is a rifamycin antibacterial that inhibits mycobacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, while isoniazid is a prodrug that inhibits InhA-dependent mycolic-acid synthesis after activation in mycobacteria.
