This receptor modulation has been studied for potential cognitive enhancement in neuropsychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia. The combination of risperidone with DMXB-A would theoretically target both psychotic symptoms (via dopaminergic/serotonergic antagonism from risperidone) and cognitive deficits (via cholinergic modulation from DMXB-A), though this specific combination does not appear to be approved or widely used clinically.
