Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rituximab + methotrexate + procarbazine + vincristine (R-MPV) is a multi-drug chemoimmunotherapy regimen used as induction therapy for newly diagnosed primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL). The regimen consists of rituximab (a CD20-directed monoclonal antibody), methotrexate (an antimetabolite), procarbazine (an alkylating agent), and vincristine (a vinca alkaloid). It is typically administered in 14-day cycles for 5 to 7 cycles, and is often followed by consolidation therapies such as reduced-dose whole-brain radiotherapy (WBRT), cytarabine, or high-dose chemotherapy with autologous stem-cell transplantation (HDC-ASCT).
