Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RIVAL-03-04 (also referred to as RIVAL-03 and RIVAL-04) represents preclinical-stage oncolytic virus candidates developed by Turnstone Biologics. These assets are built upon the company's proprietary RIVAL (Rigidly Interrogated Vaccinia virus Library) platform, which utilizes a modified vaccinia virus (SKV strain). The candidates are engineered to selectively replicate within and lyse tumor cells, a process that releases tumor-associated antigens and induces a localized inflammatory response. Additionally, the RIVAL platform allows for the delivery of multiple encoded therapeutic payloads, such as cytokines or chemokines, directly into the tumor microenvironment to enhance systemic anti-tumor immunity and overcome local immunosuppression.
