RJ026

RJ026 is an investigational therapeutic being developed by Ruijin Hospital for the treatment of interstitial lung disease (ILD). It is designed for localized delivery to the lungs via inhalation using a dry powder inhaler (RS01 device) to maximize therapeutic efficacy in lung tissue while minimizing systemic side effects, particularly hepatotoxicity. Preclinical studies indicate that inhaled administration of RJ026 achieves 10 to 20 times higher concentrations in the lungs compared to oral dosing, with significantly lower plasma levels. The drug is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial comparing the pharmacokinetics and safety of inhaled powder and oral capsule formulations in both healthy volunteers and patients with ILD.
