Overview

RJ4287 is a highly selective thyroid hormone receptor beta (THRβ) agonist developed for the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). It is an orally administered small molecule currently in Phase 1 clinical trials to evaluate its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and food-effect in healthy volunteers. The drug was initially developed by Nanjing Ruijie Pharma Co., Ltd., with preclinical studies indicating its potential efficacy for NASH through modulation of THRβ activity. RJ4287 is also referenced as being independently developed by Olymus (Nanjing Olymus Pharmaceutical Technology), a subsidiary of Ruijie Pharmaceutical Holdings. Its mechanism as a THRβ agonist positions it among emerging therapies targeting metabolic liver diseases such as NASH.
