Overview

RJ4964 is a small molecule inhibitor of Spleen Tyrosine Kinase (SYK) being developed by Nanjing Ruijie Pharma. SYK is a non-receptor cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase that plays a critical role in signaling from various immune receptors, including the B-cell receptor (BCR) and Fc receptors. By inhibiting SYK, RJ4964 aims to modulate immune responses and oncogenic signaling pathways. It is currently being investigated for the treatment of Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), where SYK inhibition can prevent the destruction of platelets by macrophages, and Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), where SYK is often constitutively active and contributes to the survival and proliferation of leukemic blasts.
