Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RK-3 is an investigational small molecule therapeutic being developed by Nanjing Neurodawn Pharmaceutical (also known as Fuzhou Neurodawn Rongkang Pharmaceutical) for the treatment of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Currently in Phase 1 clinical development, RK-3 is part of a pipeline focused on central nervous system (CNS) disorders and oncology. The compound is designed to target the mitochondrial pyruvate carrier (MPC) and platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR), which are involved in the metabolic adaptation and proliferative signaling of aggressive glioma cells. By inhibiting these pathways, RK-3 aims to disrupt tumor growth and provide a targeted treatment option for patients with high-grade gliomas.
