Overview

RKER-216 is an investigational neutralizing antibody developed by Keros Therapeutics. It targets Activin receptor-like kinase 2 (ALK2) to suppress hepcidin production, thereby increasing iron availability for erythropoiesis. It is being investigated for the treatment of anemia of inflammation, particularly in the context of chronic kidney disease. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that RKER-216 can improve hemoglobin and red blood cell production, both as a monotherapy and in combination with KER-050.
