Overview

rLCMV-gp100 is a recombinant lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (rLCMV)-based viral vector designed to express the melanocyte differentiation antigen gp100. It is being investigated as a cancer vaccine, particularly for melanoma. In preclinical studies, it has been shown to induce a high magnitude of polyfunctional gp100-specific CD8+ T cells when used in a heterologous prime-boost vaccination regimen, protecting mice from melanoma challenge and delaying tumor growth in a therapeutic setting when combined with low-dose cyclophosphamide.
