Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RLYB114 is a preclinical-stage biological drug developed for the treatment of complement-driven ophthalmic diseases. It is a Complement component C5-targeted Affibody molecule conjugated to polyethylene glycol (PEG) to extend its half-life and is designed for intravitreal administration. The drug aims to inhibit Complement component C5, which plays a central role in ocular inflammation and vision loss associated with diseases such as age-related macular degeneration (AMD), particularly geographic atrophy. Rallybio is developing this therapy in collaboration with EyePoint Pharmaceuticals, utilizing EyePoint’s Durasert technology for sustained intraocular delivery.
