rLZ-8 is a recombinant immunomodulatory protein originally derived from **Ganoderma lucidum** (Ling-Zhi mushroom), developed as a biologic therapeutic. It exerts multiple immunoregulatory activities, including modulation of T cell subsets (downregulating Th17 cells and upregulating regulatory T cells), suppression of STAT3 and NF-κB signaling, and regulation of inflammatory cytokines. Research indicates potential for treating **asthma** through attenuation of pulmonary inflammation, as well as **chemotherapy-induced neutropenia** via increasing peripheral white blood cell and neutrophil counts. rLZ-8 has demonstrated equivalence or superiority to G-CSF in preclinical neutropenia models and exhibits potential as an immune modulator and hematopoietic stimulator[1][3][4].
