Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RM26-RGD (also known as LNC1015) is a heterodimeric peptide-based radiopharmaceutical designed for dual-targeting positron emission tomography (PET) imaging. It consists of a cyclic RGD peptide, which targets integrin $\alpha_v\beta_3$ (highly expressed on tumor neovascularization), and RM26, a gastrin-releasing peptide receptor (GRPR) antagonist. Typically labeled with Gallium-68 ($^{68}\text{Ga}$) via a DOTA chelator, $^{68}\text{Ga}$-RM26-RGD is developed by Peking Union Medical College Hospital for the detection, staging, and characterization of various cancers, including breast cancer, brain tumors (gliomas), and prostate cancer. It has demonstrated superior tumor uptake and retention compared to its monomeric counterparts ($^{68}\text{Ga}$-RGD and $^{68}\text{Ga}$-RM26) and conventional $^{18}\text{F}$-FDG PET/CT, particularly in identifying metastatic lymph nodes.
