Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RMD-005 is an adjustable gene therapy candidate being developed by Remedium Technologies for the treatment of osteoarthritis. It utilizes the company's proprietary Prometheus™ platform, which is designed to provide dose-responsive, tunable expression of therapeutic proteins. The therapy is delivered using either adeno-associated virus (AAV) or lipid nanoparticle (LNP) vectors. RMD-005 aims to provide a disease-modifying approach to joint degeneration by delivering a therapeutic transgene directly to the affected tissues, potentially offering a long-term alternative to current palliative treatments. As of the latest reports, the program is in the In Vivo Proof of Concept and IND-enabling stages of development.
