rMenB is a recombinant protein-based vaccine component developed by Novartis Vaccines (now part of GSK) for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by *Neisseria meningitidis* serogroup B. The vaccine was designed using reverse vaccinology to identify conserved bacterial surface proteins that elicit protective bactericidal antibodies. It consists of three primary recombinant antigens: Neisserial adhesin A (NadA), a fusion protein of factor H-binding protein (fHbp) with GNA2091, and a fusion protein of Neisserial Heparin-Binding Antigen (NHBA) with GNA1030. While rMenB has been evaluated as a standalone candidate in clinical trials, it is most widely recognized as the recombinant protein core of the multicomponent 4CMenB vaccine (marketed as Bexsero), which also incorporates outer membrane vesicles (OMV) from the New Zealand strain NZ98/254 to broaden strain coverage.
