Overview

RMX3001 (also known as MMP-150) is an orally bioavailable, small molecule irreversible inhibitor of the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) tyrosine kinase. Originally developed by Medical & Molecular Projects (MMP) and licensed to Haihe Biopharma (following its merger with RMX Pharmaceutical), RMX3001 is designed to target cancers driven by HER2 alterations. It exhibits high selectivity for HER2 over the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), which may potentially reduce EGFR-related toxicities such as diarrhea and skin rash compared to dual inhibitors. RMX3001 is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for advanced gastric cancer and HER2-negative breast cancer, specifically targeting patients with HER2 mutations.
