RN1871 is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) drug developed to target and silence angiotensinogen (AGT) mRNA expression in the liver. By inhibiting AGT production, it disrupts the Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System (RAAS), a key pathway involved in blood pressure regulation. Overactivation of RAAS is closely linked to hypertension progression.
