Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RNA-100-AR02 is the active mRNA substance in **MRESVIA**, Moderna's approved respiratory syncytial virus vaccine. It is a **nucleoside-modified mRNA vaccine** formulated as an injectable suspension for **intramuscular** administration; each 0.5 mL dose contains 50 mcg of mRNA. The sequence encodes a **stabilized prefusion RSV F glycoprotein**, leading host cells to transiently express the antigen and induce protective immune responses against RSV lower respiratory tract disease. The product received initial U.S. approval in 2024 and is used for prevention of RSV-associated lower respiratory tract disease in adults, with approved labeling now covering older adults and at-risk adults 18 through 59 years of age.
