Overview

RNK001 is an allogeneic natural killer (NK) cell therapy generated ex vivo from umbilical cord blood-derived CD34+ hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPC). Developed by Radboud University Medical Center, the manufacturing process utilizes a combination of interleukin-15 (IL-15), interleukin-12 (IL-12), and the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) antagonist StemRegenin-1 (SR1) to produce a highly pure and functional NK cell product. RNK001 is primarily investigated for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), where it aims to provide an anti-tumor response through the infusion of mature, activated NK cells expressing receptors such as NKG2D, DNAM-1, and natural cytotoxicity receptors (NCRs).
