Overview
RNP-003 is a preclinical biomaterial developed by Cellontech, a South Korean biotechnology company specializing in regenerative medicine. It is part of the company's Regenerative Medical Product (RNP) pipeline and is specifically designed for the repair and regeneration of tendons and ligaments. The product is composed of atelocollagen, which is collagen treated to remove immunogenic telopeptides while preserving its triple-helical structure and biocompatibility. RNP-003 functions as a three-dimensional scaffold that mimics the natural extracellular matrix, facilitating the infiltration and proliferation of tenocytes and promoting the deposition of new collagenous tissue. This approach aims to restore the mechanical integrity and function of damaged musculoskeletal tissues.
