Overview

RO7293583 (also known as TYRP1-TCB or RG6232) is an investigational bispecific T-cell engager antibody developed for the treatment of advanced and metastatic melanoma. It targets both tyrosinase-related protein 1 (TYRP1), a tumor-associated antigen highly expressed in many melanomas, and T cell surface glycoprotein CD3 (CD3) on T lymphocytes. By binding to these two targets, RO7293583 redirects T cells to recognize and kill TYRP1-expressing melanoma cells through immunostimulatory and antineoplastic mechanisms. The drug has been evaluated in first-in-human phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and optimal dosing in patients with unresectable or metastatic melanoma who have progressed on standard therapies[1][2][4][5][7].
