Drug intelligence / Profile preview
RO7875913 is a monoclonal antibody developed by Genentech (a member of the Roche Group) that targets Tumor Necrosis Factor-like Ligand 1A (TL1A), also known as TNFSF15. TL1A is a cytokine that plays a critical role in modulating inflammatory and fibrotic pathways, particularly within the gastrointestinal tract. By binding to TL1A, RO7875913 prevents its interaction with the Death Receptor 3 (DR3) and Decoy Receptor 3 (DcR3), thereby inhibiting downstream pro-inflammatory signaling and potentially reducing tissue fibrosis. This mechanism is highly relevant for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. As of 2024, RO7875913 is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy volunteers.
