Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Robuvit is a standardized water extract of French oak wood (*Quercus robur*) developed by Horphag Research Ltd. It is a dietary supplement rich in polyphenolic compounds known as roburins, a unique class of ellagitannins. Upon ingestion, these compounds are metabolized by gut microbiota into urolithins, which are believed to promote mitophagy—the selective degradation of damaged mitochondria—and enhance cellular energy production. Robuvit has been clinically investigated for its potential to alleviate symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, burnout, and post-surgical recovery, as well as for its antioxidant properties and support of liver function. It is marketed as a caffeine-free energy and recovery aid.
