Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rongsheng Jinbing 10% (蓉生静丙® 10%) is a fourth-generation plasma-derived intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) product developed by Chengdu Rongsheng Pharmaceuticals, a subsidiary of Beijing Tiantan Biological Products Co., Ltd (Tiantan Bio). Approved in China in 2023, it represents the first IVIG in the country manufactured using a three-step chromatographic purification process. This advanced technology results in higher purity and lower levels of impurities such as IgA and FXIa compared to traditional precipitation methods, thereby reducing the risk of allergic reactions and thrombosis. The product consists of pooled polyclonal antibodies derived from human plasma and works through immunoglobulin replacement and immunomodulatory mechanisms. It is indicated for the treatment of primary immunodeficiency disorders and various autoimmune diseases, including primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP).
