Rongtai-CD24-IL-4R-αvβ3-PD-L1-multifunctional antibody fusion protein is an experimental biologic developed by Rongtai (Suzhou Rongtai Pharmaceutical Technology) currently in preclinical development. This multifunctional agent is engineered to target four distinct pathways critical to tumor growth and immune escape: CD24, which acts as a 'don't eat me' signal to macrophages; IL-4R, which promotes an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment; αvβ3 integrin, which is essential for tumor angiogenesis and metastasis; and PD-L1, a key immune checkpoint that inhibits T-cell activity. By integrating these targets into a single fusion protein, the therapy aims to provide a comprehensive attack on the tumor microenvironment. Preclinical studies have explored its use in metastatic renal cell carcinoma and other PD-L1-overexpressing cancers, often in combination with the PD-L1 antagonist atezolizumab, suggesting a potential synergistic effect with established checkpoint inhibitors.
