ROR1 Project

The ROR1 Project is an early-stage oncology therapeutic candidate under development by SK Biopharmaceuticals. It targets the Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Like Orphan Receptor 1 (ROR1), a type I orphan receptor tyrosine kinase that is highly expressed during embryonic development and in various malignancies, including leukemias and solid tumors, but has minimal expression in normal adult tissues. By targeting ROR1, the drug aims to disrupt signaling pathways that promote tumor cell proliferation, survival, and epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). According to company pipeline information, this project is currently in the discovery phase and is categorized as a small molecule inhibitor, distinguishing it from many other ROR1-targeted therapies that utilize antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) or CAR-T cell modalities.
