Overview

ROR1 T cells (Eureka Therapeutics) is an investigational adoptive T-cell therapy developed using the proprietary ARTEMIS® and E-ALPHA® platforms. This therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a T-cell receptor (TCR)-like antibody targeting Receptor Tyrosine Kinase Like Orphan Receptor 1 (ROR1), an oncofetal protein overexpressed in various malignancies including lung, breast, and ovarian cancers. Unlike conventional Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell therapies, the ARTEMIS platform utilizes a co-receptor signaling mechanism intended to mimic natural T-cell activation, which may improve the expansion and persistence of the engineered cells while potentially reducing the risk of severe cytokine release syndrome (CRS). The E-ALPHA platform was utilized to discover the high-affinity, highly specific human binders used in the construct to ensure precise targeting of ROR1-expressing tumor cells.
