Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rosbeat-GOLD is an oral fixed-dose combination (FDC) capsule developed and marketed by Cam Neuro Pharma for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. It contains three active pharmaceutical ingredients: rosuvastatin, clopidogrel, and aspirin. Rosuvastatin is a potent HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that reduces cholesterol synthesis in the liver, thereby lowering LDL cholesterol levels. Clopidogrel is a thienopyridine-class P2Y12 receptor antagonist that inhibits ADP-induced platelet aggregation. Aspirin acts as a non-selective cyclooxygenase (COX) inhibitor, providing additional antiplatelet effects by preventing the synthesis of thromboxane A2. This triple combination therapy is primarily indicated for secondary prevention in patients with established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, such as those with a history of myocardial infarction or stroke, to reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE).
