Overview

Rose stem cell-derived exosomes are nano-sized extracellular vesicles isolated from callus cultures of *Rosa damascena* stem cells. They are standardized using exosome isolation technology (such as ExoSCRT) to ensure consistent vesicle size (90–200 nm), concentration, and bioactivity. RSCEs contain bioactive cargo including microRNAs (notably Let-7 family) and over 200 proteins that influence cellular behaviors relevant to skin tissue repair and regeneration[3]. Mechanistically, their therapeutic action encompasses: - enhancement of fibroblast proliferation and migration (accelerating wound closure and tissue regeneration) - anti-inflammatory modulation via reduction of pro-inflammatory cytokines (notably IL-6), thereby preventing excessive inflammation and scarring - regulation of melanogenesis and extracellular matrix remodeling (improving outcomes in hyperpigmentation, scarring, and long-term skin quality)[3] The product is commercially available as a lyophilized preparation, used primarily in dermatology for skin regeneration, wound healing, reducing scarring, hyperpigmentation, and skin aging. RSCEs demonstrate low cytotoxicity and high biocompatibility, with topical administration as the main clinical modality.
