Rosemary hydroalcoholic extract (RHE) is a botanical extract derived from the aerial parts of *Rosmarinus officinalis L.* (rosemary) through aqua-alcoholic maceration. It contains a complex mixture of bioactive phenolic compounds, including carnosol, carnosic acid, flavonoids, and polyphenols. RHE is primarily investigated for its anti-inflammatory and anti-nociceptive properties, which are thought to be mediated through the inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2). Additionally, it has been studied for its ability to inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity, suggesting potential applications in improving cognitive function and neuroprotection. Preclinical research has explored its efficacy in animal models of Parkinson's disease, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), as well as its antimicrobial activity against various multidrug-resistant pathogens.
