Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rosinsulin Aspart is a recombinant rapid-acting insulin analogue developed and manufactured by the Russian pharmaceutical company Zavod Medsintez (Medsintez Plant). It is a biosimilar of insulin aspart, designed to regulate blood glucose levels by binding to the insulin receptor, thereby stimulating glucose uptake in peripheral tissues and inhibiting hepatic glucose production. The drug is produced through a full-cycle manufacturing process using the company's own recombinant protein substance as part of a Russian import-substitution initiative. It was registered by the Russian Ministry of Health in 2020 for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus and is available in various formulations, including cartridges, vials, and pre-filled injection pens.
