rosnilimab

Rosnilimab is a humanized IgG1 monoclonal antibody that acts as an agonist and depleter targeting the programmed cell death 1 receptor (PD-1) on T cells. It is designed to modulate immune responses by selectively depleting pathogenic PD-1^high T cells and reducing the inflammatory activity of activated PD-1^intermediate T cells while preserving normal immune function. This mechanism aims to restore immune homeostasis in autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and ulcerative colitis (UC). Rosnilimab has demonstrated efficacy comparable to JAK inhibitors but with a favorable safety profile in Phase 2b trials for moderate-to-severe RA, showing durable clinical improvement and potential for extended dosing intervals.
