Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Rossopuro Forte is a proprietary nutraceutical blend developed by Giellepi S.p.A. for the management of mild dyslipidemia and the support of cardiovascular health. It is composed of red yeast rice (fermented by *Monascus purpureus*) standardized to contain monacolins (including monacolin K), which is combined with gamma-oryzanol and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Monacolin K acts as a natural inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis, effectively reducing LDL-cholesterol and total cholesterol levels. The addition of gamma-oryzanol and GABA is intended to provide synergistic benefits for lipid profiles and inflammatory markers. Clinical data indicates that the supplement is well-tolerated and significantly improves cardiovascular risk factors in subjects with mild dyslipidemia.
