Rosutor Gold

Rosutor Gold is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) medication developed and marketed by Ajanta Pharma for the management of cardiovascular risk. It integrates three active pharmaceutical ingredients: rosuvastatin, aspirin, and clopidogrel. Rosuvastatin is a statin that inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, the rate-limiting enzyme in cholesterol synthesis, thereby lowering LDL cholesterol and triglycerides while increasing HDL cholesterol. Aspirin acts as an antiplatelet agent by irreversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), which prevents the synthesis of thromboxane A2, a potent inducer of platelet aggregation. Clopidogrel provides complementary antiplatelet activity by acting as an irreversible antagonist of the P2Y12 ADP receptor on platelets. This triple therapy is indicated for the prevention of secondary cardiovascular events such as heart attack and stroke, and for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease in patients with comorbid dyslipidemia.
