Azuvas Gold-10 is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) pharmaceutical product marketed by AZKKA Pharmaceuticals. It contains three active ingredients: rosuvastatin (10 mg), clopidogrel (75 mg), and aspirin (75 mg). Rosuvastatin is a HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin) that manages lipid levels by reducing LDL cholesterol and triglycerides. Clopidogrel is a thienopyridine-class antiplatelet agent that inhibits platelet aggregation by antagonizing the P2Y12 receptor. Aspirin acts as an antiplatelet agent by irreversibly inhibiting cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1), thereby preventing the synthesis of thromboxane A2. This triple combination is primarily indicated for the secondary prevention of cardiovascular events, such as myocardial infarction and stroke, in patients with established atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) or those who have undergone procedures like percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
