Rotarix + Tritanrix HepB is a combination immunization regimen involving two separate vaccines administered concomitantly in infants. - **Rotarix** is a live attenuated oral vaccine containing human rotavirus strain RIX4414, developed to prevent rotavirus gastroenteritis. It works by stimulating an immune response against rotavirus infection through exposure to the weakened virus[4][8][9]. - **Tritanrix HepB** is a combination injectable vaccine that contains diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, whole-cell pertussis (DTPw), and hepatitis B surface antigen (HepB). It induces immunity against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), and hepatitis B by presenting these antigens to the immune system[2]. The co-administration of these vaccines allows for simultaneous protection against multiple serious childhood diseases without reducing immunogenicity or safety of either component[1][9]. Both are primarily indicated for routine infant immunization.
