rotigotine polyoxazoline conjugate

SER-214 is a polymer-drug conjugate consisting of rotigotine, a potent dopamine agonist, covalently linked to poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) (POZ). This design enables once-weekly subcutaneous injection and provides continuous plasma levels of rotigotine. The mechanism of action is through agonism at dopamine D2 receptor in the brain, mediating dopaminergic signaling. SER-214 aims to reduce motor complications associated with pulsatile dopaminergic stimulation from oral therapies by providing continuous drug delivery. It is being developed primarily for Parkinson's disease and has completed Phase 1 clinical trials in this indication[1][3][4][5][8].
