Rowatanal

Rowatanal is a topical cream indicated for the symptomatic relief of pain, itching, and discomfort associated with internal and external hemorrhoids (piles), anal pruritus, and perianal irritation. Developed by Rowa Pharmaceuticals and marketed in the Philippines by New Marketlink Pharmaceutical Corporation, the formulation typically combines astringent and protective agents such as bismuth subgallate and zinc oxide with the soothing properties of menthol. Bismuth subgallate and zinc oxide act as mild antiseptics and astringents that form a protective layer over the affected mucosa, helping to reduce inflammation and protect the area from further irritation. Menthol provides a cooling sensation and relieves itching by activating TRPM8 receptors. The product is applied topically to the affected area or rectally using an applicator nozzle for internal treatment.
